Make you G1 resemble an iPhone -
This wallpaper is made up of colored cubes that resemble iPhone icons. They're placed so the icons on your G1 will line up directly on top of them.

wifiScan
wifiScan is a wardriving application for the Android platform.
(Wardriving is scanning for wifi access points and saving their GPS locations, usually done while driving.)
Wifi access point details are saved on the SD card so they can later be imported into Google Earth.
Before starting wifiScan, make sure your GPS and Wi-Fi is turned on. Once started wifiScan will scan for access points every 3 seconds and display in the list the currently visible ones. You can click in the list for more details.
The top line will give your current location, speed and direction so you'll know that the GPS is locked on.
Each time you start wifiScan your previous results are appened to. If you want to start over with an empty file, press Menu and choose 'Clear Output File'.
The results are save on the SD card in a folder called wifiScan.
The CSV file is a tab delimited file that contains all the details of the found access points.
The KML file can be impoted into Google Earth. Red pushpins indicated encrypted access points and green is open.
KML files can also be used with Google Maps. Click here to find out how.
Android is very slow to write files. Give the program some time if you have a large number of networks. Mine takes about 10-15 seconds to save 150 networks. Thanks to CJ Chitwood for the helpful suggestions.
Sci-Calc
A basic scientific calculator.
My old trusty Radio-Shack calculator died and I was looking for a replacement. There arent too many simple ones for Android yet so I wrote this one.
Only two things were important for this app. That it was small so it starts fast, and that all the common functions are on the main screen.
I found it annoying in the built in calculator to click menu, then a button, then SIN just to get the sine of a number.
INSTRUCTIONS
It should be mostly intuitive. For the basic fucnctions you type the first number, press +,-,x or / (divide), then the second number and equals for your answer. The current operation is shown in the status line of the LCD.
The trig functions work with the number currently shown in the display. You can switch from degrees to radians, hyperbolic and inverse modes of each function; use the three buttons in the top row. The current status is show in the status line.
M+ adds the current number to the memory, M- subtracts the current number from the memory. MR displays the memory. MC clears it. The status line shows when the memory is being used.
Pi and 'e' are built in constants. 'rnd' gives you a random number between 0 and 1.
x^y raises a number to any power. Type the base number, press x^y, type the exponent then equals for the answer.
! gives the factorial of the current number.
New in version 1.2.X
+/- changes the sign of the number in the display.
New in version 1.3.X
% Percentages. ex. To add 20% to 100: Type 100 + 20 %. To subtract 35% from 75: 75 - 35 %. Easy!
Thanks to everyone who gave me their requests and ideas.
Guitar Charts
Well there's not too much to say about this one. Choose your chord base and then the chord and it's shown on the fretboard.
You can't add your own chords but I think I may be able to add it without too much trouble in a future version.
I'm not adding a banjo.
A tuner may be difficult, the CPU may be too slow for a realtime Fast Fourier Transform which I think is needed. I'm looking into it.
Sound?
BubbleWrap
Yeah I wrote the original BubbleWrap for the Android. I know the sounds aren't that great but I'm done with that program. It was a learning experience.
I've never seen the iPhone version. I don't have an iPhone. It's simply a novelty thats fun to show your friends.
My favorite comment was the one where the person said they became bored with it after 15 seconds.
Well I should hope so! Who is actually entertained with bubble wrap for more than a few seconds anyway?!
